The Fitzroy Doncaster 1st XI were denied by Ringwood 1st XI at Jubilee Park No. 1 - Russell Lucas in Kookaburra Men's Premier.
We batted first and put 162 on the board from 48.5 overs. Liam Banthorpe made a valuable 28 off 69 balls. There were also handy runs from Liam Winn (26). Justin Beaton was the best of Ringwood 1st XI's bowlers, finishing with three for 36.
The hosts reached the target at 2/166 in 35.1 overs. Archie Flynn posted 69 not out for our opponents, a fine fifty.
A tough day at the office, but one to learn from.
That's four losses in a row, but the side will keep working hard. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
