Our Fitzroy Doncaster 3rd XI were on song as they were too good for Dandenong 3rd XI at Schramms Reserve - Oval #2, winning by five wickets.
Dandenong 3rd XI's innings closed at 6/189 from 44 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Neil D'Souza, who made 55 not out. Nicholas Sheridan was the pick of our bowlers with two for 30.
In reply, the boys reached the target at 5/191 in 39 overs. A classy 56 from Blake Podesta was the highlight. Fifty for Billy Rayner, who finished with 50. Solid support came from Armaan Datta, who made 42.
With wickets in hand, the chase was cleverly managed.
Well done, team.
