It was an excellent day for our Fitzroy Doncaster 3rd XI, who accounted for Northcote 3rd XI by seven wickets at Mayer Park - Oval #1 on Saturday.
Northcote 3rd XI batted first and reached 8/123 from 20 overs. Nicholas Pereara led the way for the hosts with 27 off 31 balls. Harry Smith was the hero with the ball, claiming a five-wicket haul (five for 31).
In reply, the side reached the target at 3/126 in 17.3 overs. Angus Roach's 49 off 40 balls was the highlight with the bat. Benjamin Donnellan played a handy knock of 37.
A brilliant result for the boys. The side have now won six straight.
