It was a disappointing outing for our Fitzroy Doncaster 3rd XI, who were denied by Richmond 3rd XI on Saturday in Kookaburra Men's Premier.
We posted 10/112, and Richmond 3rd XI 7/155. Syed Shayan Ahmad led the way with 42 off 37 balls with two fours and two sixes. Solid support came from Lishan De Silva, who made 27. Our opponents' best with the ball was Ethan Lovell (three for 18).
Ethan Loy-Abrahams held the hosts' innings together with 34. Rhonan Appleby chipped in with 32 for our opponents. Harry Smith picked up three for 33 off four overs.
Credit to the hosts, who played well.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
