Our Fitzroy Doncaster 4th XI were in fine form and got the better of Geelong 4th XI on Saturday in Kookaburra Men's Premier.
With the bat first up, we compiled 5/262 from 45 overs. James Heaney was the star with the bat, compiling a terrific 104 not out off 114 balls with eight fours and one six.
Needing 263, Geelong 4th XI finished on 8/194 from 45 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Jake Klein, who made 71. With the ball, Nicholas Sheridan did the damage, claiming three for 23 off seven overs. Heaney chipped in with two for 29.
