Our Fitzroy Doncaster 4th XI came unstuck as they couldn't get past Melbourne University 4th XI on a day to learn from.
We made 10/158, while Melbourne University 4th XI made 9/219. Raph Cramb held our opponents' innings together with 37. Toby Rawlings added a handy 33 for the hosts. Xavier Mitchell was the pick of the bowlers, taking two for 42 off nine overs.
Yannick Dobson brought up a quality half-century, finishing with 54 off 74 balls. Harrison Sheers played a handy knock of 35. Credit to Angus Harms, who claimed a five-wicket haul (five for 27) for our opponents.
There were some good individual efforts to build on.
We'll go again.
