It was a disappointing outing for our Fitzroy Doncaster 4th XI, who were unable to stop Melbourne University 4th XI despite Armaan Datta's 71.
We posted 10/128, while Melbourne University 4th XI made 10/371. Armaan Datta's 71 off 90 balls was a half-century to remember. Neel Malangi played a handy knock of 21. A five-wicket haul to Aanlin Cheeran for our opponents (five for 15).
Lachlan Rees bowled beautifully to finish with three for 63. Fifty for Cheeran, who made 98 for the hosts.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. Thanks to our opponents for the contest.
