Saturday belonged to our Fitzroy Doncaster 4th XI, who defeated Richmond 4th XI with Alex Cole leading the way.
Batting first, we posted 5/170 from 32 overs. The top score came from Alex Cole, who made 40 off 32 balls. Neel Malangi was unbeaten on 33 off 39 balls.
Our bowlers kept Richmond 4th XI to 8/126 from 32 overs in reply. Riley Williams was the top scorer for our opponents with 27. Xavier Mitchell led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 6.
It was a terrific all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.
We sit 11th on the ladder. It's our first win of the season, and a well-deserved one. Our next game is against Greenvale Kangaroos 4th XI next Saturday.
