There was no joy for our Fitzroy Doncaster 4th XI, who were beaten by Dandenong 4th XI on a day to learn from.
Fitzroy Doncaster 4th XI 9/189, Dandenong 4th XI 6/192 was the final tally. For our opponents, Barathan Mahadeva made 45 off 64 balls. Darcy Freeman added a handy 45 for the hosts. Lachlan Rees picked up two for 29 off nine overs. Henry Stone finished with two for 37.
A classy 54 off 47 balls from Alex Cole was the highlight. Credit to Tom Ison, who took four for 21 for our opponents.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
