It was a disappointing outing for our Fitzroy Doncaster 1st XI, who couldn't get past Dandenong 1st XI at Schramms Reserve - Oval #1 on Saturday.
The team batted first and reached 8/203 from 50 overs. Jack Rudd made a great 94 off 125 balls, a well-made fifty. Braden Taeuber contributed 28 off 56 balls. Gehan Seneviratne was the pick of Dandenong 1st XI's bowlers with three for 35.
The visitors reached the target at 3/204 in 49 overs. A century to Brett Forsyth for our opponents: 109 not out. Shobit Singh passed fifty for the visitors, finishing with 75. Gurnaz Khatra picked up two for 37 off nine overs.
Credit to our opponents, who played well.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
