There were smiles all round after our Fitzroy Doncaster 4th XI had the measure of Frankston Peninsula 4th XI on Saturday at John Coburn Oval.

Our innings: 8/287. Frankston Peninsula 4th XI's: 10/187. Yannick Dobson passed fifty on the way to 87 off 134 balls with thirteen fours. Lucas Hales's 71 off 86 balls was a half-century to remember. Thinuk Maduwa Guruge bowled well for the hosts, taking three for 43. Jake O’Brien finished with three for 56 for our opponents.

Xavier Mitchell picked up three for 19 off thirteen overs. Jesse Jewiss top-scored for the hosts with 39. Charlie Costa added a handy 35 for our opponents.

Our bowlers shared the wickets around. That makes it two wins in a row. Well played, all.
